24/7 AI-based Chatbot for student inquiries in MSc Real Estate Finance and Investment Programme

Description

The university, school and department provide numerous supportive information, resources and guidelines for our students. However, students struggle to find answers to their questions quickly and easily from the “ocean of information”. This project aims to develop an AI-based chatbot system to enhance the student experience, improve accessibility to information, and reduce administrative burden in the MSc Real Estate Finance and Investment programme (around 90 to 120 students per academic year). The chatbot will be a 24/7 virtual assistant capable of answering student inquiries about programmes, university policies, academic skills, assignment guidelines, employability resources, mental health support and other frequently asked questions. The chatbot can directly answer questions related to the programme requirements, university policies, code of practice and so on, while it can also sign-post students to seek support for academic learning skills, library resources, mental health support and employability resources.
