Description

Deaf BSL users often experience interaction with other people through interpreters. This study by the Universities of Heriot Watt and Manchester explores the effect of being constantly translated on Deaf people’s views of themselves. Jemina and Rosemary will report on their research, showing results of Deaf people’s views on how being so often presented in a translated mode effects a sense of identity, achievement and well-being.
