Description
This workshop for pupils in Years 9 and 10 (aged 13-15) explored Blake’s fascination with stories from the Bible, taking inspiration from designs for Night Thoughts and the Illustrations to the Book of Job.Participants created their own version of the parable of the Good Samaritan, which Blake depicted for Night Thoughts.
The workshop was part of the education programme which ran alongside the exhibition 'Burning Bright: William Blake and the Art of the Book' at the John Rylands Library, Manchester (8 February - 23 June 2013).
Examples of work produced can be seen in the online version of the exhibition (see my 2013 Research Outputs)
