Educational Session Title: Balancing Hormone Therapy: Minimizing Effects of Androgen Deprivation Therapy and Exploring Alternatives in Prostate Cancer ManagementEducational Outcomes:
1) Review alternatives to ADT (e.g., targeted therapy) and ADT sparing or minimizing approaches (e.g., intermittent ADT) for patients with metastatic prostate cancer.
2) Discuss appropriate use of bone resorptive agents, including timing.
3) Describe strategies to mitigate side effects of ADT and improve patient quality of life (e.g., lifestyle modification, exercise, bone health, symptom management) in scenarios where ADT use cannot be avoided.
