Breaking the Glass: Understanding the Barriers Faced by Black Women Professionals in Career Progression

Activity: Consultancy, spin-outs, CPD & licensingConsultancy & ServicesResearch

Description

Research consultancy project for She Leads for Legacy as part of the University of Manchester’s Collaboration Labs programme funded by the ESRC NPIF Accelerating Business Collaboration scheme.

The aim of this consultancy project is to understand the barriers that Black Professional Women (BPW) face when advancing in their careers and, thus, contribute to the debate about reducing inequalities for underrepresented groups. We are especially interested in identifying the challenges BPW encounter at three levels: individual, organisational and social. The project outcomes will be published on She Leads for Legacy's website and social media; also, the findings will be disseminated in academic journals and conferences.
