Description

Each year the University of Manchester throws open its doors for local friends and neighbours to discover the variety of work done within the institution. The free to enter day was filled with fun activities for all the family, including interactive demonstrations, musical and drama performances, and behind the scenes tours.

The Community Festival offers an inviting, informal space for visitors to meet our staff and students and community partners, and allowing the opportunity to take part in conversations that connect and inspire. The MIB contributed biotechnology busking activities to engage visitors with research and researcher in the areas of sustainable manufacture and biomedical innovations.
