Evaluation of household PM2.5 simulated with a coupled chemistry and partitioning model

Activity: Talk or presentationOral presentationResearch

Description

A time-resolved computer model with semi-explicit gas-phase chemistry (MCM with autoxidation) and dynamic gas-particle partitioning has not been evaluated against observations of household PM2.5 previously. Here the PyCHAM model is compared against measurements from the INGENIOUS project to test: i) the accuracy of such a model, ii) determine whether there is space in the PM2.5 mass budget for indoor-generated secondary PM2.5.
