Description

I am a member of the Future Space Technologies Astronomy Impact Working Group (FST WG) that is hosted within the policy hub of the International Astronomical Union Centre for the Protection of the Dark and Quiet Skies from Satellite Constellation Interference (IAU CPS). In this role I will be supporting the analysis of the astronomical impacts of new space technologies such as space based solar power, solar sails, Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) platforms and more. Through this engagement I will be contributing expert advice to the international policy response regarding the developing use of space to provide Earth focussed services and support the protection of the natural and astronomical space environment.
