In July 2015, I participated in a Science Connections event at Levenshulme High School. I gave a short presentation to 4 groups of 20 girls about my education, career path and what my job entails from day to day. I also facilitated a discussion about science and pregnancy in the news, to gauge the girls’ opinions on cloning, IVF, designer babies and embryo selection, and educate them in the role that science plays. The aim of the day was to give them a wider understanding of different career paths within the medical sciences and to help them understand some of the roles and responsibilities of different professions
