Major international conference entitled: ‘Falklands/Malvinas: War, Media and Society- History and Legacy’ at The University of Manchester, which was generously funded by Artsmethods, the British Commission for Military History and the Royal Historical Society. The conference attracted speakers from the Falkland Islands Government, British and Argentine veterans, postgraduate speakers, early career researchers, senior academics, journalists and librarians, with keynote speeches from Professor Sir Lawrence Freedman and Commodore Michael Clapp and Major General Julian Thompson.
