Description

I delivered a presentation in which I noted a lack in 'Postcapitalism' literature of focus on the roles which work and routine experience would play in transforming - and in a transformed - society. Marcuse's concept of 'The Erotic', Benjamin's insights into experience (Erfahrung) and Bloch's notion of 'Concrete Utopia' are used to argue for a re-envisioned role for public services in bringing a utopian dimension to work and routine experience.
