An event mixing musical performance with a talk about the journeys made by the music culture called klezmer across time, space and function.

"Various connections stimulated us to explore and perform music in the Klezmer tradition of eastern Europe. As we don’t have Jewish affiliations, this became a cultural and historical, as well as a musical, journey. It also connected us with Klezmer’s journeying from the shtetls of Europe, to US diaspora communities, through its 1970s revival, and return across the Atlantic, eventually to Manchester. In this session, we talk about these journeys and illustrate them musically."
