Whitworth Masterclass: Flowering Plant Lifecycle

Description

Co-ordinated and developed a week-long Science and Art workshop in collaboration with the Whitworth Art Gallery for a local ‘widening participation’ primary school in March 2019 (alongside Dr Rachel Saunders and PhD student Dominic Williams). The workshop was an interactive learning programme to complement the curriculum of year 3 primary children. We explored the life cycle of flowering plants through the use of activities to study the structures found in the various parts of flowering plants. Coordinated the organisation of the activities on-site at the Whitworth Art Gallery, organised the student involvement and participated in the running of the workshops.
