Description

“The Windrush scandal didn’t appear out of nowhere,” says historian David Olusoga.

“The hostile environment towards Caribbean immigrants has been 70 years in the making. In fact it began before the Empire Windrush even docked in 1948.”

Olusoga, who has brought social history to millions of viewers with his A House Through Time series, has been delving through Whitehall’s dustiest documents for a new BBC2 film, The Unwanted: The Secret Windrush Files.
