Press/Media: Expert comment

Description

“I think it’s likely that MPs will be asked to vote again on a modified deal in the new year,” says politics lecturer Dr Louise Thompson.

“The ticking clock will, I think, put added pressure on Conservative back benchers to back the Prime Minister because a confidence vote or party leadership election would stall things further and push us towards no deal territory,” adds Dr Thompson, who works at the University of Manchester.
