In relation to this international document, Prof. Duncan Shaw (University of Manchester, United Kingdom), project leader responsible for ISO 22319 and coordinator of the Working Group 5-Resilience of the Community, of the Technical Committee ISO / TC 292- Safety and resilience, explained that: "While this new standard is based on extensive research and experience from flood emergencies in the United Kingdom, it also reflects the experience of emergency situations in other parts of the world, including ice storms in Canada, grassland fires in Australia, tsunamis in Japan and hurricanes in the United States of America, to name a few. This standard recognizes the complexity and value of spontaneous volunteers in emergencies and provides a practical guide to help organizations plan their effective involvement. ”

On the other hand, at the last meeting of the IRAM Subcommittee Emergency Response and Security Management, we were privileged to have the participation of Dr. Jenny Moreno, a Chilean expert commissioned by the University of Manchester (United Kingdom) to support the project and collaborate with Chile and Argentina in the implementation of the recommendations of the IRAM-ISO 22319 standard, which provided an excellent presentation on this subject. Then, she was invited to speak before the students of the postgraduate course in Disaster Risk Management and Reduction of the Universidad del Salvador, in the city of Buenos Aires. Also, he presented the theme at the INTERSEC 2018 Comprehensive Security Exhibition, which was held on the grounds of the Rural Society of Palermo, on the 29th,
