    DescriptionPeople living in the North of England and in coastal areas are more likely to die from ‘death of despair’, according to new University of Manchester-led research.

    The new analysis shows that between 2019 and 2021, 46,200 people lost their lives due to Death of Despair in England – the equivalent of 42 people every day.
