Press/Media: Expert comment

Description

Dr Antony Adamson from the University of Manchester told MailOnline: 'In the short term CRISPR has already revolutionised life science research.

'We are now able to generate more accurate and representative models of human disease, and any data we glean from these is of course more useful.

'In the long term we will see Crispr being used in the clinic, most likely for severe genetic diseases and life threatening illnesses.'
