Many of us are counting down the days to retirement, to leaving the rat race and finally booking that Mediterranean cruise.

But being retired is no less stressful than working, except for those leaving high-powered jobs.

A study has found stress levels in retired lower-ranking employees remain much the same as when they had to set their alarm for 7am and head off on the morning commute.
