TV scientist Professor Brian Cox is launching a new series of lockdown lectures next week.
Professor Cox, who has presented programmes including Stargazing Live, The Planets and Wonders of the Universe, will deliver a free talk to anyone interested in physics on Monday May 18.
The informal lecture is being streamed by the University of Manchester, where he is professor of particle physics in the school of physics and astronomy.
The former D:Ream star will be followed every Monday and Wednesday by a host of the university's researchers, scientists and academics.
They include internationally renowned historians and broadcasters David Olusoga and Michael Wood; Nobel Prize-winning professor Sir Kostya Novoselov; and multi-award-winning journalist turned professor of sociology, Gary Younge.
Professor Danielle George and the university's president and vice-chancellor, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, will also deliver lectures.
