MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS: Why Manchester should be crowned the capital of poetry

Press/Media: Expert comment

Description

1. Two universities with poets as their chancellors

"I think we're probably the only city in the world with two universities that have poets as their chancellors: Jackie Kay at Salford and Lemn Sissay down the road at Manchester University which is also home poets John McAuliffe, Frances Leviston and Vona Groarke - giving the city by my reckoning more poets per square mile than anywhere else in the country."
