DescriptionA team of scientists have developed a decision-making tool to identify high conservation-value areas (HCVAs) to help habitat management practices in various landscapes. The tool has been tested on the Changthang landscape in Ladakh and a list of specific conservation practices have been developed based on the results of this study. The team included scientists from the University of Manchester, World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-India, National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
