Sociologist Professor at Manchester University David Morgan’s book ’Snobbery’ was released on Wednesday and charts a change in behaviour from the 19th century onwards. Professor Morgan believes looking down on people is something that has changed over time but now involves different tastes in house decorations and food and wine rather than where you come from. He believes Christmas lights are an example of this change in society.
