THE TIMES: Is it time to stop discussing the heatwave and start talking about climate change?

    Press/Media: Expert comment

    Description

Kevin Anderson, professor of energy and climate change at the University of Manchester, thinks that many minds, other than mine, may be newly focused on the threat to the planet. “What we are seeing this year is perfectly in line with what we would expect to be seeing from our science, from the empirical data and from our models. All these things align. It is very hard, if not impossible, to explain the ongoing set of climate events that we are witnessing over the last few decades without considering issues of human-induced climate change.”
