Description

Plans to create a globally leading cancer research centre in Manchester have been awarded £25 million by the Research England UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF).

The new research facility, currently known as the Paterson Redevelopment Project (PRP), will be built at The Christie on the site of the old Paterson building, which suffered fire damage in April 2017, displacing over 300 scientists and support staff.

The PRP is a multi-million pound development led by The Christie on behalf of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC), an internationally renowned partnership between The University of Manchester, Cancer Research UK and The Christie.
