Bosses at the cancer hospital want to replace the fire-ravaged Paterson building with a new development at the existing Wilmslow Road site in Withington.
The Paterson Redevelopment Project has been given another boost after being awarded £25m by the Research England UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF).
The development is being led by The Christie on behalf of the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) - a partnership between The University of Manchester, Cancer Research UK and The Christie.
