With Africa currently housing the highest number of poor people in the world and the highest number of out-of-school children globally, engaging the subject matter of poverty is important, and the grim statistics of poverty in Africa raise some serious concerns that are worth engaging. Against this backdrop, a conversation about why we're all poor in Africa becomes necessary.
