Developing a Social Care Strengths and Vulnerability Index (SC-SVI) for older people: Code for prediction analysis in local authority Adult Social Care organisations to inform analysis and tool development

Dataset

Description

Shares the R code and other material to enable local authority Performance and Intelligence Teams in the UK to undertake prediction analysis - or to partner with research teams to do this - to investigate factors predicting older service users' likelihood of remaining at home (or being admitted permanently to a care home) two years after initial contact assessments for Adult Social Care. This code was derived from the research project: Developing a Social Care Strengths and Vulnerability Index (SC-SVI) for older people: a Proof-of Concept study in local authorities, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), School for Social Care Research, from 01/03/2022 to 30/04/2024.The data template describing the data items that were collated to enable constructions of the statistical models used are also included here.More information about the project can be found at: Developing a Social Care Strengths and Vulnerability Index for older people: The University of Manchester
