Dataset

Description

An online survey was distributed to undergraduate students studying UK computer science and software engineering programmes, and to professional programmers employed in the UK. Fluent but non-native English speakers were anticipated to complete the survey within 10-15 minutes. These CSV files contain responses from 251 undergraduates, and 25 professionals who completed the survey between January and June 2021. Each individual file contains the responses for one sample: The file CLEAN Students' Survey August 31, 2021.csv contains the data from the 251 undergraduate student participants. The file CLEAN Professional Survey- August 31, 2021.csv contains the data from the 25 professional participants. In addition, the file survey_metadata.md describes the columns and values in the csv files, and their mapping to questions/responses in the original survey.
