The data provided here is in relation to the following study which is to be submitted for peer review in July: Illness risk representations underlying women’s breast cancer risk appraisals: a theory-informed qualitative analysis.

This study used secondary interview data to assess the utility of Cameron's Illness Risk Representation model for understanding women's breast cancer risk appraisals following the notification of a clinically-derived risk estimate. The data provided here details the matrices from the thematic framework analysis. Anonymised illustrative quotes are provided, together with the authors coding and description.

Due to the sensitivity of the topic, interview transcripts are not available here but can be requested from the lead author under a data sharing agreement.
