Description
Processed data and analysis code supporting a study of how the glomerulus responds to increased mechanical load, and why that response becomes damaging when the glomerular basement membrane is structurally abnormal. Unilateral nephrectomy was performed in wild-type and Col4a5-deficient (Alport) mice, and the remaining kidney was followed across scales: dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for haemodynamic and structural adaptation; transmission and serial block-face electron microscopy for GBM thickness, foot-process/GBM ratio and podocyte protrusion frequency; mass-spectrometry proteomics of matrix-enriched and cell-enriched glomerular fractions; and functional assays in primary wild-type and Alport podocytes.
