Description

This dataset contains qualitative data from a project that sought to crowd-source ideas and perceptions from both staff and students on webcam use and non-use and the effect this can have on gauging student engagement in online teaching. The aims of this project were to produce co-created profiles of best practice on: - Encouraging webcam use when and where appropriate - Strategies to gauge student engagement when webcams are not used (staff-facing) - Strategies to show engagement when webcams are not used (student-facing) The data was collected through an online anonymous survey, using Qualtrics (separate staff and student surveys), two focus groups with teaching staff and two focus groups with students. The staff survey had 82 participants and the focus groups had 8 participants. The student survey had 46 participants and the focus groups had 8 participants.
