Abstract: The MATLAB Frog simulator described in "Temperature and evaporative water loss of leaf-sitting frogs: the role of reflection spectra" by F. Herrerías-Azcué, along with the experimental and simulation data presented for the article can be found here. In this publication we show that the presence of a reflection peak in the near infra red in some leaf sitting frogs can contribute to a temperature difference of up to 3.2°C with respect to the frogs with no such peak, which is reflected on their capacity for holding liquids and extends the period they can go without rehydration events by over half an hour (22.7%).
