Description
What is poverty and what is its effect on pupils’ achievement and school communities? Can the effects of poverty be overcome by schools? This presentation considers what is meant by poverty in modern Britain and explores some of the ways primary schools support their pupils and families. This session was presented at the ‘PGCE Conference 2023: Inclusion and Inspiration - Education for Social Justice’.
