Description
These datasets are the result of X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT) imaging of syntactic foams comprising Expancel microspheres within a polyurethane matrix. Two grades of Expancel, '920 DE 80 d30' and '551 DE 40 d42' are featured in these scans. The microspheres were distributed within the matrix at different (volumetric) filling fractions of 2%, 10% and 40%, for a total of six datasets. The data is provided as stacks of 2D TIFFs. These TIFFs were taken from the 'raw' output of a FDK (Feldkamp Davis Kress) reconstruction applied to the projections which were collected during acquisition. Also provided is the coordinate and geometric data of the labelled (i.e. segmented) microspheres.
