    Details

    Description

The bioengineering and bioprocessing facility provides chemical engineering solutions in taking biological processes from flask to the bioreactor. We are equipped with an array of bioreactors of different shapes and sizes, from 0.5 L to 30 L, all of which have live biomass monitoring and can be controlled for pH, dissolved O2 and temperature. The facilities include batch, fed-batch and continuous feeding modes for growth of any class 1 or class 2 microorganism, including photobioreactors for the growth of algae and cyanobacteria. We can also help with upstream and downstream processing, such as feedstock optimisation or product recovery. Furthermore, we have expertise in molecular biology and can assist with genome editing or strain identification.
