Description
This equipment, which is hosted by the Dalton Cumbrian Facility, is situated in Cumbria, not in Manchester.
The Carbolite high-temperature furnace (1100°C max) is a precision heating device for controlled thermal processing. It is used for material sintering to enhance mechanical properties, thermal decomposition of organic compounds in analytical chemistry, heat treatment of metals and ceramics to modify structure and properties, ash content analysis in environmental and fuel studies, and calcination of minerals and catalysts in chemical processing.
