Description
The environmental sciences and geomicrobiology facility provides microbiological and other technical support to all groups in the Williamson Centre. The facilities support research in geomicrobiology, radionuclide biogeochemistry, biomineral synthesis and molecular ecology.
The facility contains the following equipment:
Microbiology facilities
Gas stations (N2, CO2) for anaerobic microbiology
Shaker incubators
Bioreactors
Centrifuges
PCR machines
Microbiological safety cabinets
Microscopy instruments
Radioimagers
Molecular biology suite
