Description
The Photon Science Institute Is home to a number of ultrafast laser systems for advanced photonics research and materials characterisation. Many of the systems are utilised by resident research groups for bespoke research experiments, and are supported by our in-house technical staff, and are available for external utilisation. Applications including time-resolved spectroscopy and non-linear optics.
The systems include
-a number of Ti:Sapphire Oscillators with 50-120 fs pulse duration, many of them tuneable across 650-1100 nm, and paired with harmonic generation units.
-a number of Ti:Sapphire regenerative amplifiers, with pulse durat6ions from 40 fs to 1.2 ps, and average power from 1 W to 7W. These amplifiers are each paired with Optical Parametric Amplifiers (OPAs) for frequency tuning of the output across the UV-MIR.
-a Yt fiber base regenerative amplifier with 20 W average power and two OPAs for frequency tuning of the output across the UV-MIR.
