Spectromag PT, 7T Optical Cryomagnet

The Oxford Instruments SpectromagPT is a magneto-optical cryogenic superconducting magnet system. Located in the ultrafast laser spectroscopy lab in the Photon Science Institute, the system enables optical and electronic experiments on samples exposed to continuous magnetic fields of up to 7T, while at temperatures from 1.5 - 300 K. The sample can be changed while the system is cold with quick sample change via top-loading probe, once inserted full sample rotation and vertical translation is possible. Optical access is in the horizontal plane, both parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field. Sample diameter is limited to <30 mm.
