Description
The SpiNNaker 1Million machine is a Neuromorphic computer made of over 1 Million low-power ARM cores. These are linked together with a specialised highly-connected "multicast" network which can send small messages to many locations at the same time. This is designed to run simulations of large scale "Spiking Neural Networks", up to the scale of 1% of the human brain. The system architecture also lends itself to other tasks where a highly parallel simulation has small communication messages, such as environmental or physical simulations.
