Details
Description
The system combines high resolution laser spectroscopy techniques with mass spectrometry to enable ultra trace analysis. The facility has a range tools to study and detect isotopes produced through cosmogenic and nuclear processes. This includes a range of mass spectrometry instruments including ICP-MS, QTOF and IRMS which when combined with high resolution resonance ionization spectroscopy enables limits of detection at concentrations below parts per trillion. Aliases: Compact Resonant Ion Spectroscopy (CRIS); Compact Carbon Dating System
