Public summary
Accessible Results is an NIHR-funded research project led by the University of Bristol, working with researchers from the University of Manchester. The project investigates how patients experience accessing blood test results online and how GP practices can make these results easier to understand.Working with patients, carers and healthcare professionals, the project has developed a toolkit for GP practices. The toolkit includes patient-friendly result templates, guidance for practice staff, safeguarding information and resources to support digital inclusion.
The aim is to help more patients access, understand and use their health information confidently while ensuring that people who cannot or choose not to use digital services are not disadvantaged.
