Following publication of my first paper from my NIHR study of clinical productivity in community pharmacy in BMJ Open in October 2017, I received a call from Dr Keith Ridge, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for England, to discuss the importance of these findings and future work. Dr Ridge also cited this paper as one likely to have impact on policy and practice during his memorial lecture for Professor Peter Noyce. This has led to a further meeting with colleagues at NHS England.
