Overview
Adrian is Associate Director and BNFL Chair in Nuclear Energy and Society at the Dalton Nuclear Institute, part of The University of Manchester. Adrian joined the University in 2021, following 40 years in the UK nuclear industry with BNFL, Westinghouse and – most recently - the National Nuclear Laboratory, where he was External Relations Director for 10 years.
His focus is on Government policy around nuclear and energy, and on stakeholder and community engagement on nuclear issues.
In addition to his University role, Adrian is a Senior Advisor at US-based nuclear communications consultancy Full On Communications and he is the UK Government’s representative on the OECD-Nuclear Energy Agency High-level Group on Stakeholder Engagement, Trust, Transparency and Social Sciences.
He is also the President-Elect of the UK's Nuclear Institute, where he will take up the 2-year term as President from January 2026.
