I am a robotics researcher investigating the new and emerging advancements in multimodal robotics and their transitions. This can be applied to many fields, but one field that would heavily benefit from this is that of renewable energy inspection and maintenance, especially that of wind energy as wind farms are usually in harsh environments and inspections are unsafe to human operators and costly.
I have a personal and professional interest in robotics linked to inspections and analysis of environments that are either impossible for humans to enter, or are difficult for them to do so, with risks and associated costs. I have an interest in multimodal bio-inspired robots as these combine different modes of operation and applications, providing flexibility and reducing costs for the complete system.

Postgraduate Research Teaching Assistant (PGRTA) at The University of Manchester supporting the following on campus delivered modules:
- AERO30021&30481 Control Engineering (Mechanical): In this module I coordinate and lead the labs, allowing for a hands on approach to learning how control can be appled to the real world, as well how PID controllers are tuned and used in practice. - FOUN10022 Foundation Year Project: In this module, I supervise foundation year students, supporting them on their journey, right before they join their degrees for Mechanical Engineering. Here, I support and guide students as they complete a literature survey on their chosen topic. - AERO31321 Aircraft Aerodynamics: In this module, I lead a set of labs with other colleagues to ensure that students have a grasp over the principles of how a wind tunnel operates and how this can be used to assess the quality of an aerofoil. - MECH20071 Design 2 (Mechanical): In this module, I support students as they attemot to make design choices to design a mechanical system. Here students are challenged and are required to justify their design choices to ensure that the chosen machine can be fabricated and used effectively.
