Overview

Dr. Ahmet Hilmi Paksoy is a material scientist  specializing in failure analysis, electron microscopy and mechanical testing, particularly for material systems to be used in next generation aerospace components. He currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Henry Royce Institute, University of Manchester, where he focuses on environmental barrier coatings (EBCs) and collaborates with industrial leads on advanced material characterization techniques and high teperature steam corrosion. Dr. Paksoy holds a PhD in Material Science from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Materials Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, patents, and industry-focused conference presentations.
