Overview
Akhila Ajith is currently a research associate in the Department of Chemistry working with Prof. Perdita Barran. Previously, she was a PhD student at the University of Manchester with Prof. Nick Lockyer.
Akhila completed her Integrated Bachelor and Master of Science degree from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati. Her research focuses on mass spectrometry development and applications. Akhila's PhD focused on mass spectrometry imaging of plant leaves for spatial chemical visualisation of agrochemical mobility. Currently, her research focuses on research and development of mass spectrometry methods to characterise virus based drug products and high mass protein and non-protein complexes.
