My research interests are split quite evenly between law and information technology and law as it relates to a variety of contemporary artistic and curatorial practices, with Intellectual Property (Copyright Law) and questions of ownership and use being a common thread.
I am interested in supervising research in the following general areas: law and IT, IP Law, Copyright Law, law and contemporary art, law and appropriation.
Currently working on longer form project exploring dominant role of exclusionary principle in property rights, implications for substantive reform utilising Lacanian psychoanalysis/topological concepts alongside Critical Legal Theory. Spatial epistomologies and ethics features heavily. Looking at how counter-principle of inclusion can be equalised or elevated within the property conept.
