Overview

I am currently serving as a health economics Research Fellow (NIHR-Health Economist) at the Manchester Centre for Health Economics (MCHE), within the School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health. My current research employs systematic review and meta-analysis, as well as decision analytic modelling, to guide policy formulation for the most effective allocation of resources within the healthcare system.

Biography

Before joining the University of Manchester, I dedicated a decade to the Department of Health Economics, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. During this time, I held the position of a senior Health Economist, where I led economic evaluation studies, provided instruction, and supervised postgraduate students. Additionally, I appointed several lead positions and served as a consultant and member of the technology appraisal group in the Iranian Ministry of Health. My significant contributions also included heading the HTA group at the Iranian Research Centre for Evidence-based Medicine (IRCEBM) and spearheading or collaborating on over 15 technology assessment projects.
