We offer a range of projects on the development, analysis and applications of Graphene and other 2D materials, in the following areas. Specific project topics will be discussed with prospective candidates and assigned based on ongoing research and latest state of the art.

- Nano-composite elastomers and foams
- Nanostructured aerogels for water purification
- MEMS and NEMS devices and sensors

We offer Ph.D. studentships through the President's Doctoral Scholar Awards (all nationalities) and in the Graphene Doctoral Training Center and BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) (UK/EU only). Other funding opportunities for international students includes the China Scholrship Council (CSC) and Commonwealth Scholarship.
We support early career researchers applying for Newton, EPSRC and other fellowships.
